I’m so excited I can barely contain myself. We’ve been working on getting the office together, slowly but surely. We just got IKEA’s EXPEDIT Shelving Unit to help with the clutter. I’ve been dragging my feet on a window covering though because it’s a small dark room and I love the light the window provides. Well, my silent prayers to the decorating god have been answered, TA DA - brume! I know I’ve seen this before but I was like “oh that’s neat but I have no use for window film right now…” aaaand now there’s a use for window film. I haven’t quite decided if I’ll get out my cutting board and exacto, order some from brume or bother my vinyl cutting friend (who shall remain nameless for their own privacy and safety ;) Oh good grief I’m so excited about this solution, check back for the outcome!
From my lovely wife’s blog:
I did it. It’s a little hard to capture how awesome it is with an iPhone though. I’m really happy with how it turned out. I think the key is picking two colors that are pretty close. If i had to blend a darker color in I would have needed more steps. I <3 my ombre wall.
Fun sneak peek at an R-rated poetry book I’m currently illustrating. They will be accompanying writer Johnny Pinelli’s potty-mouth poetry. Fun stuff, stay tuned for the announcement of the book!

Got this idea today and wanted to get it out in hopes that it will get more people to donate to help out Japan! Again, please just contact me if you’ve done your part and would like to obtain a digital hi-res version to print out for yourself.

My friend and amazing artist Mark Sarmel made this. Entitled “The Guns of Navarone”. The text reads “Have no fear when you turn out the light we will keep you safe at night”. It hangs nicely over my sons crib at night!
